6th May 1952 - Birth of Crown Prince Ahmed Fouad II (on 16th January 1952)

He is the son of King Farouk and Queen Narriman.  His birth accomplished King Farouk's dream of fathering a son to inherit the throne. He granted a doctor who oversaw the birth the title of Pasha, and artillery shelling echoed in Cairo at night declaring the birth of King Farouk’s first male child, who was announced  as Crown Prince Ahmed Fouad II.
