Arab League Congress 1946

The urgent Arab League Summit was held in Anshas, Egypt, on 28th and 29th May 1946. It highlighted the Palestinian issue and its support of Arab nations. In addition, the summit considered the issue of Palestine as essentially a basic Arab issue where the fate of Palestine was linked to that of the Arab League, and what affects the Palestinian Arabs, affects the peoples of the League itself. The summit warned of the danger of Zionism and stressed that the Arab States and all Islamic peoples were duty bound to stand together to face this clear danger.
