On 15th February 1936, King Fouad's viceroy inaugurated the 15th Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition organized by Prince Omar Toson’s Royal Assembly at its headquarters on Exhibition Palace Island. There, the agricultural, herbal and floral products and different industrial products were exhibited, along with research related to agriculture and its development. It was preceded by several other exhibitions. The 1926 and 1931 exhibitions were the most famous, and collections of stamps were issued on those two occasions.
