A design for stamps for this occasion was requested in March 1930 and the Department of the Egyptian Museum supplied photographs of reliefs found in the tomb of Ti in Saqqara. One showing a reaping scene was chosen, and sketches were prepared; they were approved by King Fouad and the Ministry of Finance in December.
