Abrogation of the Anglo-Egyptian Treaty of 1936 King Farouk Declares Himself King of Egypt and Sudan 1952

These three stamps were issued on 11 February 1952 to commemorate the abrogation of the British Treaty regarding Anglo-Egyptian rule of Sudan.

The first stamp shows the map of Egypt and Sudan under the same wings symbolizing King Farouk. The second one shows King Farouk with the map of Egypt and Sudan behind him. The third is of King Farouk and the flag of Egypt.

The main reason for cancelling the treaty was to give Sudan the right of self-determination, which meant separating Egypt from Sudan
