1965 - 60th Anniversary of The Death of Sheikh Mohammad Abdo

Muhammad Abdo was born in 1849 and died in 1905. He was a scholar of Islamic jurisprudence and a proponent of revival and reform in the Arab and Islamic world. He participated in the establishment of an Islamic intellectual movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its aims were to eliminate intellectual and cultural stalemate and revive the Islamic nation to meet the demands of the age. Sheikh Mohammed Abdo died in Alexandria after suffering from cancer.
